Dance Connection Club
Have you ever wanted to just dance around the room? Now you have the chance to learn and do it while having fun, meeting new people, burning calories and improving your cardiac health. Dancing is an exercise of the mind and body. We offer more than 20 classes each week. Visit one of our classes from the schedule and see if this form of exercise is good for you.
Dance Connection is a chartered club in Sun City Summerlin. We have four officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Contact information for these officers are in the Contact Us option on this website.
Our instructors have many years of experience and are friendly, helpful and understanding. They have the ability to offer alternatives to moves that may be difficult or too complicated. Some of our instructors are residents who volunteer their time while others are under contract to Dance Connection and provide a fee-based service. Fees are set by the instructor and enforced by Dance Connection.
Annual dues are $17.00. We hold a complimentary election luncheon every November. Some of our classes are free while others require an instructor fee. Interested parties can participate in two free classes prior to membership to try a class to see if it is something you might enjoy. Just visit the specific class of interest and let the instructor or registrar know that you are trying your free class. Class times, instructor and cost are located in the Class Descriptions tab.
It is necessary to complete a release of liability form in order to participate in a class.
This completed form is required even if you are not a member, but taking your free trial class. Upon joining Dance Connection, the release of liability form will be kept on file. If, after your trial classes, you wish to join Dance Connection, a check or cash in the amount of $12 made payable to Sun City Dance Connection is to be given to the collector/instructor for any of the Dance Connection classes. There is no discount for partial year registration (except for the months of November and December which is $6 for the remainder of the year).
If you are already a member of Dance Connection but renewing your membership, an updated membership information form must accompany your $17 check or cash. Returning members who are committing to attending the annual luncheon will be asked to pay their annual dues prior to the luncheon as a commitment to attending. The checks for this reservation will not be cashed until the new year.
